Margot is an actor, choreographer, movement teacher and devisor of new dance work. She graduated with an Honours degree in Creative Arts and Drama Performance from Flinders University Drama Centre SA. Margot is the Accessibility Director at Shopfront Contemporary Arts Centre following a 6 year engagement with Restless Dance Theatre – a company for performers with and without disabilities. She uses drama and dance practices to provide integrated workshop environments which are accessible, artistic, engaging, and professional. As a performer, Margot recently debuted solo piece which she workshopped in New York with dance artist Tricia Brouk, and in 2012 is developing her new work, which approaches themes of mental health and psychological treatment. Margot was a co-tutor for the Beyond ABBA program in 2012 and co-directed the end of year Wild Imaginings performance.
