Kate has designed numerous and diverse theatre works, films, operas and dance pieces. Her work with Powerhouse Youth Theatre has brought her to explore Western Sydney, designing shows working with the local community, including I Do, But…, Hard Daze, Mother Fish (with Khoa Do), City Quest, Mobile Messenger and more recently Can’t You See It My Way? an inter-generational community project. With sliced bread attraction, she has mentored and facilitated visual arts workshops for people with an intellectual disability, including designing the projects Museum of Curious Obsessions and My Space My Place.
Kate has also worked with Emma Hawkins and Keith Lim (Atypical Theatre Co.), designing their award winning dance performance One More Than One.
Other works include Queen C (B Sharp), Richard III (Siren Theatre Co), Out of Body Exp for Keith Lim, Darlingwood Tales (Loose Cannon Arts and The Opera House) Mash Up (The Q Theatre) costumes for Helpmann award winning Thursday’s Child (Monkey Baa), Zetland and numerous Babies’ Proms at the Opera House.
Her costumes in Queen C were nominated for Best Costume design in the Sydney Theatre Awards.
