Riverside Theatres is committed to making theatre accessible for all members of society.
Patrons with any accessibility requirements should advise Box Office at the time of booking; whether it be particular seating needs, parking requirements, guide dogs, hearing assistance or to book into one of the audio described performances.
Riverside offers level access and space for wheelchairs in all venues. Accessible bathrooms are also available. Limited paid parking on request at the venue for patrons with a current disability parking permit.
Riverside has an infra-red hearing assistance system in all three theatres to assist patrons who are hearing impaired. Patrons can choose from a single ear piece, a neck loop attached to their own hearing aid or their own headphones, to amplify the sound from the stage. To access this free service, please pre book the hearing system with our Box Office.
For designated shows.
For designated shows patrons can either download the app onto their mobile phones to read the captions or read from screens either side of the stage.
Audio Described Performances
Riverside with Vision Australia generally offer at least one audio described performance per year. Details will be updated here and will also be advertised in Riverside’s season program and on their website.
The Companion Card is recognised for all performance and events at Riverside Theatres. At the time of ticket purchase cardholders may either fax, email or send by mail a copy of their valid cardholder identification. Alternatively, the Card may be presented in person at the Box Office. Cardholders will then be issued with a second complimentary ticket for their essential support companion.
